Description:

Ford & Harrison, a growing national labor and employment law firm with 19 offices and 190 lawyers, has a tremendous opportunity for a senior marketing professional to serve as Chief Client Development Officer. The firm is looking for an experienced CMO or marketing director to direct and lead its nationwide marketing and client development initiatives. Qualified candidates should be extremely strong strategically, exhibit excellent people skills and a have proven record of managing a successful marketing department. The Chief Client Development Officer will report to the Managing Partner and be based in the firm's office in Atlanta, Georgia.


Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leading, in collaboration with firm management and other administrative officers, strategic firm initiatives and goals related to firm growth, profitability and success
• Developing and directing business and client development initiatives and programs at the firm, office and attorney level
• Enhancing the firm’s client service and feedback program
• Overseeing all marketing communications for the firm including PR, web site, advertising, social media, proposals, brochures, events, sponsorships, etc.
• Overseeing development and maintenance of the firm’s client relationship management database
• Developing internal resources for attorneys to assist with their business development efforts
• Serving as a member of the firm’s Marketing Committee and coordinating the Committee’s efforts
• Working closely with the office managing partners as well as other members of the firm’s administrative team
• Planning and presenting at firm management and attorney meetings
• Preparing and monitoring an annual marketing budget
• Managing the firm’s relationships with several marketing vendors (ad agency, PR firm, CRM consultant, web development company, etc.)
• Directing and mentoring a marketing department of six professionals, including two managers dedicated to business development and one to marketing communications


Requirements:

• Seven to ten years of marketing management experience in a law firm or professional services firm setting
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or similar area
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent inter-personal skills; capable of establishing immediate credibility and rapport with attorneys and staff
• Proven record of accomplishment in managing a marketing and business development department
• Strong project management skills
