Baker & McKenzie is seeking a Marketing Manager to plan and implement marketing and communications programs for North America. Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage all marketing and communication efforts within the region, including oversight and coordination of all office marketing staff and the centralized and/or shared marketing positions. Oversee and provide day-to-day management for all marketing and office marketing staff and resources within the region. Develop and implement regional marketing plans in support of the regional strategy and in coordination with the regional business development manager. Serve as a production manager/traffic coordinator for all marketing efforts within the region, including holding regular meetings with relevant staff; Oversee all internal communications. Manage maintenance of all websites, including internal sites on Bakerweb, external sites on Bakernet, and the N.A. Marketing Service Center. Coordinate implementation of global marketing efforts at the regional level including directories, surveys etc. In coordination with Professional Development department, oversee marketing training within the region, including development of consistent curriculum for associates at various levels. Oversee coordination, maintenance and compliance to Firm standards of marketing materials, including brochures, alerts and other promotional materials. Build relationships with other marketing and communications staff in the Firm to assist in the development and coordination of marketing efforts and leverage Firm resources. Responsibility for results includes: implementing the firm’s regional marketing strategy; assessing marketing requirements and recommending the best structure to meet those needs; developing core deliverables and tools that are current, providing our attorneys with materials they can easily access and use in their efforts to increase client penetration and client attraction; establish marketing as a resource in the region where attorneys can confidently turn for assistance in their promotional activities; establish and maintain connections with firm leadership to ensure our marketing efforts are always consistent. Other responsibilities as assigned. Requirements:
Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of marketing in a professional services environment. Strong organizational skills and a demonstrated capacity to successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to manage people across the Firm. Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field. Practical experience in marketing, public and media relations, and event planning. Previous experience in a partnership and professional services environment preferred. Senior level marketing experience (manager or above) required.
