Description:
The 270-attorney Global Corporate Group of Morrison Foerster is seeking a highly analytical and business-savvy professional to support the group’s marketing and business development objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the marketing data of the Corporate Group.
Prepare statistics and identify trends (internal, client, competitor, and market) and create narrative summaries to use in business development, strategic planning, pitchbooks and other practice materials.
Conduct and analyze research to help firm formulate business development strategies.
Research, write, edit, collect and refine data and content for proposals.
Serve as editor of internal and external Corporate marketing content, materials, and publications.
Responsible for the posting of all content on the Corporate Group pages of the Firm’s external web site; provide content for the Corporate portion of the Firm’s intranet portal.
Manage updating of content for all Corporate practice descriptions, deal lists, attorney biographies, and related practice collateral, including on-demand marketing publications and other materials.
Co-develop internal marketing reports, communiqués, and act as writer and editor of external marketing communications.
Assist in key client management projects.
Assist in identifying and maintaining online marketing alliances, including updating referring links and recommending new online referral opportunities.
Manage all administrative aspects of business development and marketing for the Corporate Group.
Manage the development and execution of materials and logistics for all Corporate Group marketing and BD events. Conduct project ROI follow-up, and project tracking.
Assist subgroups in the development and execution of marketing and business development opportunities and plans and assist in or oversee other BD and Marketing projects as assigned.
Promote client service throughout department.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a degree; BBA or MBA preferred, five years of manager level experience with a focus on marketing or business development in the areas of investment banking or corporate finance, or within the corporate practice of a law firm. Must be familiar with corporate finance terminology and concepts, have research experience, have familiarity with SEC filings, and corporate finance databases. Additionally, the candidate should have very strong skills in all Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and Excel, and ability to create and produce complex spreadsheets and manage extensive data. Must be able to work collaboratively and with a positive, respectful, professional attitude across all departments and levels. Strong business writing skills desired. Must be highly detail-oriented, with great attention to accuracy, and be able to excel in the face of multiple deadlines and a heavy workload.
