Description:

Carlton Fields is seeking a Business Development Manager to support and assist in all aspects of client development including but not limited to: competitive market research, client and industry analysis, development and implementation of strategic client teams, practice group strategic planning, and cross-selling.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with providing ongoing and as-needed market, industry, internal and competitive research and analysis. 

Assist with producing a wide range of deliverables for designated practice groups, including in-depth client and industry analysis. 

Identify and monitor trends to ascertain new business opportunities in legal marketplace.

Support client partners in the development and implementation of strategic client teams. 

Track client service team metrics. 

Work closely with designated practice group leaders to define strategic direction. 

Assist in client development planning, initiatives, and cross selling for designated practice groups.


Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of three to five years of business development experience in professional services environment; MBA a plus. 

Strong business acumen and ability to research and analyze trends in a practice/industry and identify new business opportunities. 

Strong project management and organizational skills. 

Self-directed and positive style and the ability to handle pressure and prioritize competing needs. 

Ability to work successfully with high-level executives. 

Excellent writing and presentation skills and a well-developed ability to persuade others and promote ideas.
